Memorial Day Observance
The annual observance at Veterans' Field, with the laying of flags on every veteran's grave and a reading of the honour roll at the memorial flagstaff.
Community work days, observances and guided tours — the cemetery is a part of the community's life, not apart from it.

A guided ninety-minute walk through the cemetery's oldest sections, telling the stories of the founding families and the village they built. Comfortable shoes recommended.
The yearly meeting of the Cemetery Association. The trustees present the annual report and the care-fund accounts, and elections are held for open seats. Plot owners and members of the public are welcome to attend.
A quiet afternoon of placing wreaths on the graves of veterans and of those who have no family nearby to remember them. Wreaths are provided by the care fund.
Our twice-yearly volunteer work day. Bring gloves and clippers — the trustees provide the rest, along with a hot lunch. Every pair of hands helps.
A short graveside service in the Old Ground marking the anniversary of the cemetery's founding, followed by tea in the chapel. All are welcome.
